The New House in Hartford
By Ask Me on Feb 22, 2008 in Real Estate
It was a home like any other, the first one I had ever looked at, let alone purchased, and with the housing market starting to take off, it was probably going to be the only one I ever lived in as well. But, now that I’ve fast-forwarded a few years and have grown used to owning my own house, I have started to contact Hartford pool builders and New Haven pool contractors to start helping me put together a plan to get my backyard in shape for a brand new pool. I have never owned a pool either – not when I was a child, not even when I rented in college. It’s a big step and I’m incredibly excited about it.
But the Connecticut pool builders in the area keep trying to tell me what I cannot do with the land there – something to do with building codes, but that doesn’t really sit well with me. After all, I’d much rather just enjoy the pool spot that I paid good money for. I bought this land (well, I’m still paying for it, but close enough), and should be able to build whatever I want there. So, now I have to go through a bunch of paperwork to get the permits I need to override the building codes and build my pool anyway. I do so enjoy bureaucracy.
